Lucky Fish, a new restaurant and bar, has opened on West Beach, Palm Jumeirah.

The menu is inspired by the flavors of the ocean and the Mediterranean region, highlighting Italian, French and Spanish cuisine, highlighting quality seafood and meats. Farmhouse Shrimp fish restaurant returns to Cornwall this summer

Katie and Rick Toogood launched their first Prawn on the Lawn fish in Islington in 2013 and have since opened two restaurants in Padstow, another Prawn on the Lawn and a more intimate bistro called Barnaby’s.

New American sports bar arrives in Newcastle after the sale of an old fish restaurant

A former upscale fish restaurant in Newcastle town center is set to be transformed into a new sports bar and restaurant after being sold to new owners.

Nova Seafood & Grill, on High Bridge, has been sold to businessman Michael Grayson, who will turn the site into an American-style sports bar called Hen & Hops.

Once the Newcastle outlet launches, the duo will also look to expand the brand to other locations in the North East.

He said: “We had been looking for the right site for our concept for some time and when Nova became available we worked really hard to make sure we were the successful bidders. High Bridge is perfect for what we’re looking to do – it’s already home to many successful independent businesses and we want to add to that.

“We will immediately begin work to transform the venue into an American-style sports bar called Hen & Hops, with an emphasis on chicken wings, hot sauces and craft beers and ciders.

“This is definitely a brand that we are looking to roll out elsewhere and we are already working with David Cash at Christie & Co to identify other possible locations for us. “

IB’s Tin Fish Restaurant Reopens | Business

It took a long time for Tin Fish owner Ed Kim to reopen his restaurant at the end of the iconic Imperial Beach Pier. Kim closed her restaurant on March 17 and did not reopen until June 9.

He had prepared for the announcement of restaurant closings in March. “I knew business in New York was going crazy, and then California asked us to shut down that Monday,” he said.

Kim still didn’t expect the news to come so soon, but on the morning of March 17, staff called her to tell her that the lock on the pier door had been changed and they couldn’t not enter. “We were hit hard. We had all the fresh fish, the perishables. Anything I could save I put in the freezer,” he recalls.

The worst part is that Kim thought it would only be two to three weeks of closure, not months.

When the sidewalk and take out was allowed for restaurants, it couldn’t be part of it due to its location because the pier was closed. Finally, restaurants were allowed to dine, but the pier was still closed. “The beach was open a month ago and there was still no word. Even the hairdressers were open, but not the pier, ”he said. “We were the first to close and the last to open. A lot of people at Imperial Beach sympathized with us.
