Lucky Fish restaurant opens on Palm Jumeirah in Dubai

Lucky Fish, a new restaurant and bar, has opened on West Beach, Palm Jumeirah.

The menu is inspired by the flavors of the ocean and the Mediterranean region, highlighting Italian, French and Spanish cuisine, highlighting quality seafood and meats. Working with a local fisherman, Lucky Fish will feature an eye-catching daily display of fresh seafood on ice on their iconic vintage sailboat. Highlights of the menu include platters of freshly served seafood, Black Angus carpaccio, beluga caviar, a rich carabinero risotto, and homemade spaghetti served with a choice of fresh fish.

Operating a zero plastic policy behind the bar, bar manager Keagan Van Dyk encourages patrons to order ‘ready to go’ and explore the creative flavors of his beachside libations. Signature drinks to savor include their Lucky Spritz, a contemporary take on a classic with Goldberg Yuzu tonic and coconut water; Rosey Nose, a refreshing concoction of flavors including strawberry, plum, umeshu and sparkling grape; and Golden Sands full-bodied with toasted walnut syrup, hazelnut liqueur and cream.

For those more health conscious, a generous selection of mocktails includes exotic fruits and flavors, including For-avo Green, with broccoli juice, spinach juice, honey, fresh apple juice. and lemon.

Farmhouse Shrimp fish restaurant returns to Cornwall this summer

Scheduled to reopen in mid-April for the duration of the summer, the 52-seat restaurant will be fitted out in the same way as last year, offering a view of the camel estuary and will support the fish and seafood industry. Cornwall crustaceans, which has been hit hard by Brexit.

“It was such a journey to create this al fresco Cornish seafood love story. Not only the hard work and demands that the project itself put on us, but doing it during the onset of the pandemic, ”said co-owner Katie Toogood.

“When Covid hit, we knew we had to change tactics for the summer and a project that was cheating on us was quickly brought to the forefront given the safety of people outside. Farm round 2 shrimp is going to be bigger, better and more delicious than before.

Daily changing menus will feature seafood from local day boats as well as seasonal produce grown on site at Padstow Kitchen Garden.

The menu will include large platters of seafood and seasonal fresh fish sold by the kilo, including wild sea bass, gray mullet and the recently rebranded Cornish Sole.

Dishes will include Porthilly oysters (raw or fried); zucchini flower with crab and ‘nduja; and Saint-Pierre with leeks, pot and porcini butter.

Katie and Rick Toogood launched their first Prawn on the Lawn fish in Islington in 2013 and have since opened two restaurants in Padstow, another Prawn on the Lawn and a more intimate bistro called Barnaby’s.
